The eagle has landed!

Hi I’m Danielle! And this is my world of Dandy Candy. I wanted to write a blog post, as I think it’s important to know there’s a person behind a business. I’m not a chain, I’m not a corporate company, nor am I a franchise. 
I am a mother of 3 gorgeous girls, aged 6, 4 and nearly 2. I love Disney, shopping and the gym. I am a huge fan of music and movies, and food!

I love being busy. And having 3 young babies to look after, I couldn’t sit at home not doing anything... So here I am! I love what I do. I love the fact I make something that makes people happy! I love that it’s something I can work around my children. 

So, like so many others, my business really suffered when the country went into lockdown. I had cancellation after cancellation, bookings disappearing and no sign of them returning. These poor parents with disappointed children... and I had a room full of sweets that I didn’t know what to do with... 

A couple weeks into lockdown, one evening I went into my room and made up a cup of my kids favourite sweets for a home movie night, it went down a treat as you can imagine, and there it was, a pick and mix cup was born! My kids loved the variety. So I did a soft launch to friends. They were so popular. But of course, I wasn’t half as busy as I usually was, so I decided to kickstart my website production bringing forward my online shop launch earlier than planned. Now I am able to send my products all over the UK, and beyond lockdown too... I am so pleased I was able to keep my business ticking over in such a weird and uncertain time.

As they say, “to infinity and beyond!”
